I tell ya, next time I'm taking my own computer with me, even if it's way too big to lug around!
Well, I must say, I have been quite impressed with the quality of work that's been coming out of that competition.
Round 1's challenge was to create a mini kit using a specific colour palette, and having:
* 6-8 unique papers
* 12-15 unique elements
* the usual TOU, and credits
* a preview appropriately linked
Some of my favourites from this round:
OK, I guess I could link them all! I think they are all very well done!
Have a look at them, you will need to sign up to take part in the forums and voting, but it doesn't take long to do!
They all went on to round 2, as they did not do any cuts for this round.
Round 2's challenge was to create a mini kit using a monochromatic colour palette.

Extractions! (thankfully this has nothing to do with dentistry!)
The Designer Darlings had to extract 3 items that they scanned or photographed, and include a 100% close up in the preview!
Quite of few of the "Darlings" offered CU versions to us as well. Oh, I guess I should add that all of these items and kits that they've designed are offered as freebies, at least for a limited time!
The voting for this one was more of a challenge for us, because of a glitch, we could only vote for 1 Designer Darling! Talk about tough choices!!
I voted for "just for fun" by Three Hearts, mostly because I felt she really took on a challenge, and succeeded well in executing her extraction. She chose difficult subject matter, and did a great job!
Here are some of my favourites again:
I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the voting, and downloading my favourite kits. The judges have also provided some great tips and tutorials as well!
Now to get some scrapbooking done!
Happy Scrapping!
Marlene
