Hosanna! Free gift: Free alpha

Layout of my Grandson Eli's baptism, using the alpha
"Hosanna" for his name

I have recently purchased an action to help designers make and cut "alphas". What a great time saver this has turned out to be! It helps to free up some time to get creative, which is what I like to do best.

I've been working on a bunch of digital scrapbooking kits that coordinate with each other, called "the Blues" and this new alpha is no different. Since it's so close to Easter, I thought I'd make it purple, which just happens to also be my favourite colour!

I'm going to offer the "Hosanna" alpha to you free for a limited time. Here's some of the story behind how I came up with this one:

I can't help thinking about the free gift of salvation that I received,  way back when I was 15 years old.

I was reminded of this when I heard a testimony of one of the young people doing "confession of faith" at our church on Palm Sunday. She was close to the same age as I was, but that's where the similarity ends, she's been through some tough health issues for teenager to have to deal with, and that got her thinking and praying more about what her purpose is in this life. She told us how grateful she is that God spared her life, and that he gave up His life for her (and you and me too!)

She can tell you the exact day it was that she committed her life to Jesus, I can't remember what day it was at all, but I know the feelings of peace, love and acceptance she talked about.

I was so proud of her for sharing this publicly! There were more than a few tears being shed in church!
Our praise team did a great job of setting the tone for our worship as well, with singing that great song "Hosanna"

I see the king of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes
I see his love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing

Hosanna in the highest [x2]

I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith

I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees
We're on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me

Break my heart from what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdoms cause
As I go from nothing to Eternity

So, that is how I was inspired to create this particular alpha, and how I named it "Hosanna"
